FAQ

· CAIR is a project of the Global Health research group at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche and directed by Lucy Anne Parker and it being funded by the European Union. Moreover, we’ve closed a collaboration with the Ayuntamiento de Elche.

· A random sample will be used, and your address may be selected for home surveys. At pharmacies, you may be invited to participate in a questionnaire about certain medications. You will also be able to participate in co-creation activities (workshops, debates, etc.) that we will hold in the neighborhood. Various organizations operating in Carrús and surrounding areas are also collaborating with the project in dissemination and organization.

· While your participation does not entail direct individual benefits, the information you provide will help us better understand the factors that influence community health and well-being. In this project, we propose a model in which authorities, health services, community organizations, and citizens collaborate to improve health and well-being. We aim to demonstrate that creating collaborative initiatives can improve population health.

· Co-creation is a collaborative process that brings together authorities, health professionals, community organizations, and citizens to identify problems, develop solutions, and implement them in a participatory manner.

· To be able to create collaborative initiatives, we must first analyze all possible data sources. Much of this data is available in the healthcare system, but other data can only be collected verbally from individuals. That’s why we will conduct anonymous surveys on quality of life, ability to understand, analyze, and evaluate health information, as well as relationships and resources in the community. Once processed, the data is shared in focus groups, and we begin the co-creation process.

· You must be over 18 years of age and complete and sign an informed consent form to confirm your participation. Specialized personnel will conduct random, anonymous home surveys. A member of the research team will administer questionnaires at your local pharmacies, provided you pick up a medication related to mental health, cardiovascular health, or an antibiotic.

· Of course. Call us or write to us at 683770510 and we will answer all your questions.

· Primarily, sociodemographic data. During the surveys, whether conducted at home or in a pharmacy, no identifiable data (name, ID, telephone number, etc.) is collected. You will only need to provide your personal information and sign an informed consent form to confirm your agreement to participate in the project. This data is stored securely and is not shared. During co-creation activities, we may ask participants for permission to take photos or videos of work groups. If we need a photo or recording of you as the subject, we will always ask for your permission to broadcast the images.

· The UMH, as the controller of your personal data, guarantees that these data will be processed in accordance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of April 27 (GDPR) and Organic Law 3/2018 of December 5 (LOPDGDD). As part of the European Commission’s commitment to open science, the data collected for the study, duly anonymized, will be stored in a European research data repository.

· In some randomly selected homes, at neighborhood pharmacies, and at the health center. Each of these collects specific data, always anonymously.

· If your address is selected, qualified and properly identified personnel will contact you to conduct the survey. In pharmacies, the survey will be conducted by qualified personnel.

· Approximately 30 minutes for home surveys and no more than 15 minutes for pharmacy surveys.
